{TAG} Thirteen Personal Questions

So I wasn't personally tagged but I decided to steal the tag from Vanessa from 'Citron and Guavaberry' because I had nothing to blog about this week and it made me feel really bad not to post something. (I promised to post something at least once a week and goddamnit I'm going to stick to that ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ)

Let's do this~

What do you order at Starbucks?
Iced caramel macchiato or something caramel. Always caramel. Always.

What's one thing in your closet you couldn't live without?
My Doc Martens. OMFG they're my favorite pair of shoes. I wish I could wear them in the summer as well, but I'm short so they cut me off awkwardly and I don't know how to wear them so they don't. But if I could wear them everyday of the year I so totally would.

What's one thing people don't know about you?
On a not-so-nice level, most people don't know that I suffer from depression and social/stress induced anxiety. Diagnosed earlier this year but apparently I've had it for about four years. Not fun.

On a happier note, most people don't know that I'm OCD about pens and pencils. If you have a nice one, or I find a nice one, you are never getting it back. Ever.

What's one thing you want to do before you die?
Travel the world, help people, have my own personal library, own a cat... that's more than one thing. I think travel is the one I'm most passionate about though. I want to go EVERYWHERE. Good and bad places.

What is one food you can't live without?
My first thought was strawberries. I loooooove strawberries.

What's one quote that you live by?
"You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it." I dunno who said this, or said the original version because this is my take on it, but it's something I have to tell myself quite often. I've been put through what I have because I can handle it. (I'm not religious btw, I know there's a version of this like, 'you were given this life because God knew you could handle it' or something like that, js)

What do you like and dislike about the blogging community?
Ooooh, okay, I had to actually think about this for a little while. What I like about the blogging community is the opportunities it gives you. The opportunities to meet new people from all over the world, the opportunity to try things you weren't able to before, to get your voice heard, to do all sorts of things. That's one of the reasons I decided to finally make a blog; to get into a community that I could finally expand myself in and grow in.

What I dislike is the fact that there is this stigma that some bloggers are 'better' than others and that you have to prove yourself and make it big. It's all one big popularity contest for some people and it makes me so annoyed. You should blog because it's something you love and enjoy, not because you want to be better than someone else at it, or to gain tons of followers. That's just shallow.

What is your number one song on iTunes?
It's Papparazzi my SNSD but that's mainly because I had it on repeat for days and fell asleep with it playing once. ^^;; I go through songs quite often when I find one that I really like, and honestly I can't think of one that I like more than the rest... maybe Cherry Pie by Warrant... or anything from MCR's Black Parade album. ♥3♥

What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?
I have a very mixed style, I like girly things, punk things, goth, sporty, rock, you name it. It depends on the actual piece of clothing, rather than trying to fit into one style.

What is your favorite number?
3

Two hobbies?
Writing and reading. I have a lot of hobbies though... (obsessing over korean pop stars)

Two pet peeves?
People with no manners. (UGH they make me so mad. BE POLITE DAMMIT)
Ignorant/arrogant people (also included: assholes)

I'm really big on learning facts and forming educated opinions. I personally love learning and I have a lot of things I'm really passionate about, and I hate the people who act holier-than-thou when they have no clue what their talking about.

Your guilty pleasure?
Watching movies/hanging out with my mom. It's sounds soooo un-teenager-like, but I love being with my mom. She's my biggest supporter and I can talk to her about anything, so getting to do something simple with her really puts me at ease. Especially if I'm particularly stressed.

------------------------------------------♥♥♥♥--------------------------------------------
I hope this wasn't too boring >.< I'm sorry I didn't have anything better to post! I'll try to have something beauty related for next week.

I'm not tagging anyone in particular, but if you feel like doing it go right ahead! Lots of love~
Have this gif of Bangtan because Sailor Scouts as your reward for reading this post.

REVIEW: Clear Damage & Color Repair Deep Nourishing Treatment Mask

My first actual review~ it took me ages to write, not gonna lie. I was debating what hair product to actually review for this but I ended up choosing this baby here because I've repurchased it so many times now.

It is supposed to be a hair mask, but I use it as a conditioner whenever I shower so the review is going to be based on how I use it and how it works for me as such! Now to the review~

They say: Nourishes the scalp deeply and helps protect hair against damage with a dual-action formulation – a white stripe of nourishing treatment and a pink stripe infused with concentrated Nutrium 10™, a rich blend of vitamins and nutrients. Provides up to 95% more damage resistant hair in only 3 minutes.

My Experience: It is supposed to be a hair mask, and the first time I used it I used it as such, but after that I started using it as my every-shower conditioner. It comes out quite thick and for someone with less hair I'd say a little would go a long way, but seeing as I have a crap-ton of hair I can practically use the bottle dry in a few uses.

That being said I absolutely LOVE this conditioner. It's super rich and creamy and my hair feels amazingly soft when it's on, and after I rinse it out. I have extremely dry hair (thanks to both bleaching/dying my hair and the fact that it's naturally curly which makes it dry anyway) and this stuff really does help keep it conditioned and soft. Along with my curl cremes and the like, this is a staple in my hair regimen.

Price:
Target: $5
Drugstore.com: $5.50
Amazon: $5
Ulta: $6

Pros:
- Cheap
- Portable
- Rich and Creamy
- Super hydrating
- Can be used as a conditioner as well as mask

Cons:
- Not a lot of product per bottle (if you use as conditioner)

Repurchase:
Big fat yes. I've purchased this at least five times now since my first time buying it and I will definitely continue to buy it in the future.

★★★ ★★
5/5 Because I absolutely love this product and I definitely recommend.

First Impressions: Maybelline's FitMe Foundation Shine-Free Foundation

FIT ME® SHINE-FREE FOUNDATION 110 Porcelain
I bought Maybelline's new Fit Me foundation at Target the other day and have only been testing it for two days so no full review, just a first impression.

I do have to say that I bought this in about a shade too light by accident (apparently I have tanned a little, who knew?) so shade wise it's a little off, but that problem is easily fixed.

They say: Fresh gel foundation blends to a flawless matte finish. Lightweight powders in the anti-shine core instantly dissolve excess oil.

What I think after two days of use: It's not bad, but I do have some things I don't like. First, the foundation itself is a light - medium coverage (although buildable without getting cakey), and glides on nicely. I used my Sigma F80 the first time to blend it out, and then the next day I used my Real Techniques foundation brush (the one in the Core Collection), and both work quite well to blend out without losing product and having to put more on. What I found that I don't like is that although it's not cakey, it does like to stick to tiny dry patches on my skin (usually where blemishes were) and sits on the dry skin and won't blend out. The other thing I've found is that it doesn't seem to live up to it's shine-free name without me having put any shine powder on afterwards. Maybe this is a fault of my own, but unless I put powder on, in a couple of hours (less time than if I were to use powder or even a different foundation), my entire face is shiny! And I don't even have that oily of skin! I've heard really good reviews online from people saying that their skin was shine-free all day, and for me, the was so not the case. I obviously have to try it for a few more days, and actually wear it out (WaWa doesn't count), but my first impression isn't all that great.

★★★☆ ☆
Three out of Five stars for first impressions, hopefully that get's better but who knows.

Introductions of sorts (#/。\#)

Writing introductions is so much harder than I thought it was going to be omg

I've tried writing this so many times and I just have not had any luck with it. Telling people about you, without babbling through text, is surprisingly harder than it sounds; or at least for me it is. So let me start over:

Hi, my name is Amanda! This is my new blog (sorry for lameness of design, really new to blogger), and this is my attempt at blogging (*ノ▽ノ)

So, I started this blog for a number of reasons. 1) I've always wanted to blog. I've always been a little envious of popular blogs ‘cause I’m like, ‘why can't that be meeeeee’. 2) Hopefully soon I'm going to begin DIY-ing and I want a place to share my creations and whatnot. 3) Aspiring beauty/fashion junkie, and as much as I love tumblr, I figure having a blog like this would be good for me.

Should I bore you with telling you about myself? Sure, why not?

I'm going to be a high school junior this upcoming school year. My birthday is in the beginning of September. My music taste is literally all over the place; KPOP, AC/DC, One Direction, Indie stuff, JRock, yadda-yadda. I consider myself an artist; writing, painting (oil), photography, and music. I just started dance again, but that’s a long story so. I'm short (5’), curly-haired, and loud. Hopefully I can find my voice through blogging, and hopefully I can make this a regular thing. One post a week sounds good, right?

Lots of love ♥ Panda
