{TAG} Thirteen Personal Questions

So I wasn't personally tagged but I decided to steal the tag from Vanessa from 'Citron and Guavaberry' because I had nothing to blog about this week and it made me feel really bad not to post something. (I promised to post something at least once a week and goddamnit I'm going to stick to that ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ)

Let's do this~

What do you order at Starbucks?
Iced caramel macchiato or something caramel. Always caramel. Always.

What's one thing in your closet you couldn't live without?
My Doc Martens. OMFG they're my favorite pair of shoes. I wish I could wear them in the summer as well, but I'm short so they cut me off awkwardly and I don't know how to wear them so they don't. But if I could wear them everyday of the year I so totally would.

What's one thing people don't know about you?
On a not-so-nice level, most people don't know that I suffer from depression and social/stress induced anxiety. Diagnosed earlier this year but apparently I've had it for about four years. Not fun.

On a happier note, most people don't know that I'm OCD about pens and pencils. If you have a nice one, or I find a nice one, you are never getting it back. Ever.

What's one thing you want to do before you die?
Travel the world, help people, have my own personal library, own a cat... that's more than one thing. I think travel is the one I'm most passionate about though. I want to go EVERYWHERE. Good and bad places.

What is one food you can't live without?
My first thought was strawberries. I loooooove strawberries.

What's one quote that you live by?
"You were given this life because you're strong enough to live it." I dunno who said this, or said the original version because this is my take on it, but it's something I have to tell myself quite often. I've been put through what I have because I can handle it. (I'm not religious btw, I know there's a version of this like, 'you were given this life because God knew you could handle it' or something like that, js)

What do you like and dislike about the blogging community?
Ooooh, okay, I had to actually think about this for a little while. What I like about the blogging community is the opportunities it gives you. The opportunities to meet new people from all over the world, the opportunity to try things you weren't able to before, to get your voice heard, to do all sorts of things. That's one of the reasons I decided to finally make a blog; to get into a community that I could finally expand myself in and grow in.

What I dislike is the fact that there is this stigma that some bloggers are 'better' than others and that you have to prove yourself and make it big. It's all one big popularity contest for some people and it makes me so annoyed. You should blog because it's something you love and enjoy, not because you want to be better than someone else at it, or to gain tons of followers. That's just shallow.

What is your number one song on iTunes?
It's Papparazzi my SNSD but that's mainly because I had it on repeat for days and fell asleep with it playing once. ^^;; I go through songs quite often when I find one that I really like, and honestly I can't think of one that I like more than the rest... maybe Cherry Pie by Warrant... or anything from MCR's Black Parade album. ♥3♥

What kind of style would you describe yourself as having?
I have a very mixed style, I like girly things, punk things, goth, sporty, rock, you name it. It depends on the actual piece of clothing, rather than trying to fit into one style.

What is your favorite number?
3

Two hobbies?
Writing and reading. I have a lot of hobbies though... (obsessing over korean pop stars)

Two pet peeves?
People with no manners. (UGH they make me so mad. BE POLITE DAMMIT)
Ignorant/arrogant people (also included: assholes)

I'm really big on learning facts and forming educated opinions. I personally love learning and I have a lot of things I'm really passionate about, and I hate the people who act holier-than-thou when they have no clue what their talking about.

Your guilty pleasure?
Watching movies/hanging out with my mom. It's sounds soooo un-teenager-like, but I love being with my mom. She's my biggest supporter and I can talk to her about anything, so getting to do something simple with her really puts me at ease. Especially if I'm particularly stressed.

I hope this wasn't too boring >.< I'm sorry I didn't have anything better to post! I'll try to have something beauty related for next week.

I'm not tagging anyone in particular, but if you feel like doing it go right ahead! Lots of love~
Have this gif of Bangtan because Sailor Scouts as your reward for reading this post.

  1. PFT, I TAGGED EVERYONE. EVERYONE!!!!

I did fist pumps for so many of these responses though! Totally agree with the DOCs, they make EVERYONE look so badass, and if they weren't so heavy, I'd wear them all day, errday.

It's ok, on a not-so-nice level, I am constantly grumpy and negative. I think blogging is somewhere I can change my habits and have more 'nicer' and positive thoughts and be less anti-social :|

Personal library is also on my hit list! A room devoted to shelves, that's what I want :D

I loooooooooove strawberries too. I eat 'em frozen :D

K, I'M NOT THE BIGGEST FAN OF SNSD, BUT GODDAMN I CANT DENY THEIR SONGS ARE MAD CATCHY. HEY MR TAXI TAXI TAXI DKJSDKLGJTKHGKYLJGKYLJMGLKJMGHLKHMF MUTHAFKING GENIE N SHT

    I think I'm the same with my mom :> (except I haven't told her I have a beauty blog...yet L OL)

    1. Ugh, I wish I could wear mine all the time, I don't even care about the heaviness, they just cut me off weird and I don't need to look shorter than I already am thankyou verymuch.

That's a reason I lie blogging as well. It keeps me occupied and it makes me really happy doing it. It's also starting to help with the social anxiety part, which annoying enough is worse behind a computer. But blogging definitely helps (:

Dream house has one fully stocked library and then more shelves around the house. I'm extremely jealous of your book fort haha. Any good recommendations from it?

mmmmmmm 'tawberries. That's the way to my heart I s'pose. That and carmellos LOL

I got into KPOP like a year and a half ago and seriously I'm addicted. I'm not the biggest fan of all of SNSD songs, but they were the first group I discovered so they have a spot in my heart LOL

I told her, but I've never showed her haha. She's happy I'm doing something I like but she doesn't really get the whole online-craze thing or whatever.

  2. Ah ok c: (I find black jeans with them is super flattering and makes you look taller and leaner...and my mom agrees)

Nothing like communicating with random strangers on the internet about makeup to ease the social anxiety, eh? ʘ‿ʘ

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, what genre are you into?

Heh, I had to look up 'carmellos" ._.

The first group I was introduced to was Big Bang/2NE1...back when 2NE1 debuted :3 They're still really fierce, and best kpop girl group imo

Blah, I was like 'K IMM TALL MY MOM ABOUT THIS BLOG WHEN I HAVE 10 SUBSCRIBERS' and now I have double that amount and I'm still uhhhhhh

  3. Hrm, I'm more of a mystery junkie, and all my fantasy novels are...for children LOL (diana wynne jones, etc). Do you have goodreads? Because I think that's quite helpful

Everyone in 2NE1 can get it HEHEHE. All equally fantastic performers.

I doubt she even knows what a blog is LOL

  4. Uh, goodreads is a site where you keep track of the books you've read, rate them, and get book recommendations, haha. I'm surprised you don't have one!

Lol, not gonna lie, wasn't a big fan of 'Perks/Wallpaper' and 'Looking For Alaska' (yikes, someone burn me at the stake)

    1. (*ノДノ)wow I'mma ditz. I'll look into it though!

Perks is my favorite of all-time, but I think it's because I can relate to a lot of the feelings in it. I was pleasantly surprised about LFA tbh. I thought it was gonna suck LOL

  5. Yeah, I really couldn't relate to Perks because I've never experienced the things that Charlie(??) did, meh.
